Service Details

As a free lance Chef, I work for and by myself.

My strengths are in organization, culinary studies & practice plus my own personal creativity & experience.

My menus are custom crafted for each individual group based on their interests in food & service style. I ask for a phone consultation for all my new customers to discuss what's best for them and to give a personal overview of my Chef service. If a call is not convenient for you, clarity by email of what your group would like is necessary for us.

Service styles-

1. 3 and 4 course meals --individually plated for each person at the table. Ideally each person should have the same menu, however some adaptions will be made for allergies and diet concerns. Another option is to share multiple appetizers on platters as your first course.

2. Additional Courses -- Appetizer platters to share casually and extended menus are available.

3. Family style dining-- Multiple options presented on the table in small platters to pass amongst each other

4. Chef's Menus -- Let me know what your interests are and I will make a menu for you that I suggest. You can still adapt it yourself if you're unsure of my suggestions.

Pricing

I offer a warm detailed food celebration for my customers. While service style can change depending on the number of people & choice of menu , the food stays the same. Precise, thoughtful, fresh, exciting and fulfilling.

An average price for 4 courses or a full menu is listed here. Please note this is not a guarantee and current food cost is calculated starting at 2 weeks in advance of your dinner. The prices here are close guesstimates and are on the high side for preparation.

Important Information for all New Customers

My service is based off of my menus listed here featured on the main search bar above.

A menu does not need to be made from each page. I interchange cuisines and techniques all the time. It's separated to make it easier on you with cuisine style. I can make a menu specifically with your requests in mind. So the more info I know about your group's preferences, the better I can provide an unforgettable meal and time together.

You are also welcome to make your own menu from all this information here.

I work with all my customers' reservations individually to ensure the best menu for all.

A phone consultation is necessary for all new customers to ensure we both understand the possibilities & expectations of your dinner.

Most importantly: A mutual respect between both of us is required for us to continue a reservation commitment.

What about kids?

It's difficult to say as all kids aren't created equal. I have a kids menu that will help you see I'm here to help, this is located on the Coastal Dining Page. I am completely open to what your kids might like to do. Small kids portions of fish, meat, vegetables and starch are also available starting at $30 per child.

Allergies and Special diets

All allergies will be cooked for separately to insure the safety of your guest. Specific diet requests will be worked out with a phone consultation and agreement.

What's included in pricing and What's not included? This service is all about the freshness and food quality.

What is included in this price:

All the food, prepped & freshly cooked, prepared and served in your home.
Locally sourced foods in addition to high reputable and sustainable sourcing.
Chef's unique recipes prepared for your unique tastes.
All platters, platter serving utensils & at least 1 extra plate setting to accommodate 4 ++ courses.
Plated Table service by Chef Melissa for parties up to 10 people.
Nice plastic plates if needed for extra courses and larger parties.

What's not provided in this pricing --

Beverage service is not included in the pricing or service. Bartending & extra beverage table service is available by request & extra fee.
Table decorations available upon request with an extra fee.
Plates & Silverware as a base will come from the home/rental home. As stated above, I will bring extra for up to one setting.

Placemats, table-clothes & linen napkins ( I can bring nice paper dinner napkins)
